Its officially winter in Florida and feels absolutely amazing outside lately. The average temp this month has been in the mid 70's and I could not be more happier. I've been getting on the bait flats in the morning this month at an average time of 6:30am. I'm dress in a light jacket and bibs while sitting on the front on my boat chumming, drinking my coffee while waiting to watch the beautiful sunrise. Everyday as I sit there I can't help but thank how I'm such a lucky man.
The cooler water temps have really turned the big trout in a feeding frenzy. Since the water temps are around 72 degrees the Snook bite has been amazing as well. On today's Tampa Fishing Charter I threw out a couple baits to chum and the snook looked like mini torpedoes as the chased the baits through the water before smashing them as hard as a Mike Tyson punch in the early 90's. The Redfish are still around and we've been catching a few mixed in with the Snook but the best catching by far lately have been the big trout and snook.
