Born and raised in the Tampa Bay area, Captain Kevin Overstreet is a USCG-licensed and insured fishing guide with a lifelong passion for fishing and providing unforgettable experiences for his clients.
Spending nearly 250 days a year on the water, whether guiding charters or scouting for fish, Captain Kevin has earned a reputation as one of Tampa Bay’s premier fishing guides.
After years of sitting behind a desk running an insurance agency, Captain Kevin took a leap of faith, trading his suit and tie for fishing bibs to pursue his lifelong dream. Through hard work, dedication, and determination, he built a successful charter business attracting clients from around the world, many of whom return year after year.

Captain Kevin also has a special passion for introducing young anglers to the sport. Through Slay The Bay Fishing Camp, he dedicates 12 weeks each summer to teaching children ages 17 and under the skills, excitement, and importance of fishing.
Captain Kevin lives by one simple belief: “Teach a child to fish, and they’ll never go hungry. Better yet, you’ll always know where to find them.”
